About

cropped-cropped-bantaMankajang is a blog hosted by Natta Mass, a native of The Gambia, West Africa. Raised in a traditional African home and community, Natta writes from a perspective shaped by values that are increasingly challenged by consumerism and outside cultural influences.

A business school graduate in training with a passion for writing, Natta brings a social conservative viewpoint rooted in traditional African principles of collectivism. This space is dedicated to revisiting and reshaping conversations about Africa and African values—recovering what is progressive and enduring in long-held customs, restoring them within their proper context, and exploring how they can be adapted to the realities of our time.
