Mankajang is a blog site hosted by Natta Mass, a native of The Gambia, West Africa. Born and raised in a traditional African home and community; raised on values that are quickly eroding away in the face of consumerism and encroaching alien cultures. The site host is a Business School graduate in training with a passion for writing with a conservative view rooted in traditional African values of collectivism and having a desire to see a revival of age old progressive customs, restored and understood within their rightful context and circumstances. With the conversation centered around revisiting and reshaping the narrative on Africa and African values, the hope is to rebuild our societies using such values and adjusting them to the realities of our time.
“If you don’t know where you’re coming from, then you won’t know where you are headed!” – Mandinka proverb.
